Frequently asked questions
What may I record as an employer for a sick report?
Only functional data: report date, expected duration, recovery date and whether a safety-net scheme applies. Never the nature or cause of the illness — only the company doctor may record that (GDPR).
How do I calculate the absence percentage?
Divide the number of absent days by the total available working days in the period and multiply by 100. The template does this automatically once you enter the available working days.
Which steps are mandatory in long-term absence?
Under the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act: report to the occupational health service in week 1, problem analysis by week 6, action plan by week 8, then periodic evaluations. After two years the WIA application follows.
