Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum I can schedule an employee?
The Dutch Working Hours Act allows a maximum of 12 hours per shift and 60 per week, averaging no more than 48 per week over any 16-week period. Collective agreements can be stricter.
Do I have to announce the roster in advance?
Yes. On-call workers must legally be called at least 4 days ahead (a CAO can shorten this to 24 hours); for fixed rosters timely publication is good employment practice and often a CAO duty.
Can I reuse the roster weekly?
Yes — copy the tab per week (right-click the tab). That also builds a roster history.
